Al Arabia says Jeddah Municipality challenges court ruling

Arabian Contracting Services Co. (Al Arabia) stated that Jeddah Municipality appealed against the preliminary judgment issued in favor of the company, within the statutory period, according to Tadawul website.

The appeal at the Administrative Court of Appeal in Riyadh is scheduled for Oct. 16

The expected completion date of this event cannot be determined at the moment, the company said, adding that there are no costs associated with the event currently.

The relevant financial impact, if any, will be disclosed later. In July, Al Arabia announced that a preliminary ruling by Jeddah’s 13th administrative circuit was issued in favor of the company, according to data available with Argaam.

The ruling obliged Jeddah Municipality to repay SAR 75.89 million as compensation for the rental amounts paid to Jeddah Municipality for sites that were not handed over to Al Arabia in the Megacom billboards contract.
