TAWAL inks 2 deals with Sela, Sawani to build CIT infrastructure

The signing ceremony

Telecommunications Towers Co. (TAWAL), a subsidiary of stc Group, signed two agreements with Sela Co. and Sawani Co. to build communications and information technology (CIT) infrastructure.

The agreement with Sela entails the deployment of advanced and unified sharable CIT infrastructure services in order to expand the mobile network coverage at Sela’s projects, TAWAL said on “X” platform (formerly Twitter).

Under the deal, TAWAL will boost the coverage of mobile phones in indoor or outdoor places for Sela’s projects, in addition to introducing the Neutral Host Provider (NHP) model that will improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Furthermore, the agreement also includes enhancing the experience of local and international visitors to Sela’s projects, capitalizing on the network of multiple telecommunications operators of the company’s temporary events, and curtailing Sela’s carbon footprint by incorporating the concept of CIT infrastructure sharing, TAWAL stated.

In a separate statement on the "X" platform, the company indicated that the agreement inked with Sawani came to set up CIT infrastructure in the latter's sites using the latest technologies that support 5G and Internet of Things (IoT).

Under the deal, TAWAL will expand the mobile network coverage at Sawani's sites, while also guaranteeing environmental sustainability by building CIT infrastructure sharing.

TAWAL pointed out that the agreement is also aimed at enabling advanced technologies to accelerate manufacturing automation and IoT solutions.
