Shares of Al Rajhi Bank slipped by 1% to SAR 69 apiece today, Sept. 19, marking the lowest close since July 2021, with 8.22 million shares traded.
Al Rajhi Bank stock recorded today an intraday low of SAR 68.40.
Accordingly, the stock incurred losses of 41% compared to its highest price since its listing at SAR 117.40.
Al Rajhi Bank began its activities in 1957. In 1978, the various individual establishments under the Al Rajhi name were merged under one umbrella Al Rajhi Trading and Exchange Corporation. In 1988, the bank was established as a Saudi share holding company.
The bank opened its first men's branch in Riyadh's Deira district in 1957 and the first women's branch in 1979 in Al-Shemaysi neighborhood.
The lender carries out a full range of Shariah-compliant banking and investment operations for own or third-party purposes locally and overseas.
According to data on Tadawul, Al Rajhi Bank's shares were listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) on December 1, 1988.
