Alwasail Industrial Co. announced transferring all the machinery and equipment of production lines at Ras Al Khaimah plant, UAE, to its factories in Buraidah, Saudi Arabia, at a cost of SAR 1.6 million. This move is expected to last until May 1, 2024, according to a Tadawul statement today, Sept. 19.
A total of 18 out of 20 injection molding machines are 90% equipped and assembled. A trial run of some of the machines was also carried out, and the rest of the machinery will be tested upon completion of preparation and installation works, the company said.
In June 2022, Alwasail bought, in a public auction via Emirates Auction, a factory in Ras Al Khaimah Industrial Zone, UAE, for SAR 4.81 million.
In September 2022, the company’s board of directors approved the transfer of all machinery and equipment from the Ras Al Khaimah factory to Buraidah. The decision included installing the equipment and machinery at its head factory in the First Industrial City, Buraidah, according to Argaam's available data.
