Oil prices close mixed on Friday as investors assess Russia's decision to ban diesel exports to most countries to balance prices in the local fuel market.
Brent crude for November delivery was unchanged at $93.27 a barrel, but recorded a weekly loss of 0.7%.
WTI contracts for November delivery rose 0.45%, or $0.40, to $90.03 a barrel.
The US oil rigs declined by eight to 507 in the week ended Sept. 22, General Electric Co.’s Baker Hughes energy services firm said in its closely followed report on Friday.
