Online monitoring of vehicle insurance violations starts today

The online monitoring of vehicle insurance violations commenced today Oct. 1. 

 

The General Department of Traffic said that the automated online monitoring will be for all vehicles to ascertain violators. 

 

The insurance violation has been defined in the traffic regulations since its issuance, and is treated as a standalone violation not linked to others.

 

A violating vehicle is monitored every 15 days, independently and without association with any other violation. The fine ranges from SAR 100 to SAR 150 for vehicles without valid insurance.
