Tadawul trading screen
Qualified foreign investors (QFIs) were net buyers of SAR 12.1 billion worth of stocks on the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) in the first nine months of 2023, down 63% from SAR 32.98 billion in 9M 2022, according to data issued by the Saudi bourse.
Foreign investors bought shares worth SAR 201.14 billion and sold SAR 189.05 billion in 9M 2023.
QFIs include SWAP agreements, qualified investors, resident investors, discretionary portfolio management (DPMs), and strategic partners.
Foreign investors recorded the highest buys in July at SAR 3.95 billion.

Net sales by Saudi individuals in all categories amounted to SAR 2.05 billion in 9M 2023, compared to SAR 6.45 billion a year earlier.
Net buys by Saudi investors stood at SAR 632.13 billion, against net sells worth SAR 634.18 billion.
Saudi investors include retail investors, high net worth investors, individual professional investors, and individual DPMs.
April recorded the highest net retail sales worth SAR 3.57 billion.
