Financial Academy Forum to kick off on Oct. 11, Argaam announced as ‘media partner’

The Financial Academy Forum will launch in Riyadh city on Oct. 11, under the patronage of Chairman of the Capital Market Authority (CMA) and Chairman of the Financial Academy Board of Trustees Mohammed ElKuwaiz.

 

The second edition of the forum represents a vital and exceptional gathering for decision makers in the financial sector. It is expected to attract senior government officials, chairmen of authorities and institutions, CEOs, and a selection of influential figures in the financial sector, including researchers, academicians, experts and practitioners. It also targets professionals in the areas of finance, investment, banking, financing, insurance, securities, as well as local, regional and international financial sector workers and stakeholders. Multiple local and global financial institutions are anticipated to take part as well. The participants will share relevant knowledge, experiences and expertise and review the best practices in an effort to develop and scale up the capabilities of human cadres of the financial sector.

 

In its second edition, the event will cover four themes, namely the rapid changes occurring in the financial sector and the need for new skills; the future of reskilling; the importance of reskilling in the financial sector; the organizations and the application of effective strategies to keep up with changes.

 

The premier event features live panel discussions with the participation of public and private sector officials, including Mana bin Mohammad Al-Khamsan, CEO of the Financial Academy, Ahmed Al-Zahrani, Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Skills and Training, David Blake, CEO of Degreed, an information technology company, Abdullah AlSalamah, General Manager, Human Capital at Alinma Bank, Omar Al-Ammary - Chief Shared Services Officer, Alex Fraser. Chief Executive, London Institute of Banking & Finance, Lars Rottweiler, CTO & Co-Founder at Mbanq, and Jawad Khan, National Development Division Advisor at Public Investment Fund.

 

On the sidelines of the forum, 13 government and private agencies will showcase technological solutions, as well as education and financial technology and digital economy. In addition, three specialized workshops will be organized about organizational transformations in the digital age, upscale of skills in the work environment, and reshaping of skills.
