The Economic Crimes Prosecution charged two citizens for violating petroleum product trade regulations.

They altered a priced petroleum product to make it appear unpriced and breached the Anti-Commercial Fraud Law by mixing diesel with water.

A case was filed against the citizens and were convicted of fraud.

Each received a five-year prison sentence, a SAR 50,000 fine, and asset confiscation, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The Public Prosecution is determined to prosecute those involved in petroleum product trade violations or commercial fraud, safeguarding the Kingdom’s economy and penalizing those who harm the economy.
