The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's flag
Saudi Arabia will host the 21st session of the General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Riyadh in November 2025. The resolution was unanimously approved by the 172 members of the Vienna-based organization, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.
Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) selection came during the 20th session of the UNIDO General Conference held in Vienna, with the participation of an official Saudi delegation, led by Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Ibrahim Alkhorayef.
On this occasion, Alkhorayef said that this win recognizes the Kingdom’s position as an economic and manufacturing growth driver in the region. It also reiterates its commitment to enhancing industrial development across the world.
Hosting the conference in Riyadh will highlight the Kingdom’s role as a regional leader of primary and downstream industries.
