More than 90 educational service projects became operational in 2023, while 707 schools Kingdom-wide were rehabilitated in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Education Yousef Al Benyan said.

The ministry addressed over 125 insolvent projects to enhance capacity and demand for the Saudi educational field, he added.

During a dialogue session at the 2024 Budget Forum today, Dec. 7, the minister indicated that the Ministry of Finance paired with cost discipline are viewed as an enabling arm to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and make optimal use of the government-allocated funds.

He pointed out that the ministry's directions are clear, which is to focus on the outputs of the quality of education as a cornerstone of the ecosystem. He added that the education environment is attractive and safe to ensure the security and safety of students.

The ministry is keen to have institutional governance work at the highest degree of transparency and operational work, Al Benyan noted.
