Labor courts in Saudi Arabia received nearly 100,200cases since the beginning of 2023, or almost 426 cases daily, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported, citing official statistics.

 

The cases included wage claims, requests for allowances, compensation, rewards, and service certificates, in addition to disciplinary penalties-related disputes between employers and employees.

 

Riyadh courts accounted for about 31%, or 30,530 cases, of the total. It was followed by Makkah with 26,677, then the Eastern Region (13,111), Asir (5,723), Medinah(5,335), and Qassim (4,656).
