The US jobless claims saw a marginal rise last week, ahead of the Federal Reserve meeting next week.
The US reported that 220,000 workers filed for new unemployment benefits during the week ending Dec. 2, an increase of 1,000 claims, from 219,000 the week prior on a seasonally adjusted basis, according to the US Department of Labor.
Estimates referred to 222,000 claims for the same week.
Markets are waiting for the US monthly non-agricultural job report tomorrow, amid expectations for new 180,000 jobs in November.
