Saudi Arabia's exports of chemical industry and related products fell by 36% year-on-year (YoY) to nearly SAR 6.27 billion in September 2023.
Compared to August, the chemicals exports dropped by SAR 213.9 million, or 3%.
The exports of chemical industry and related products represented 30% of September’s non-oil exports, as shown in the following table:

China topped the list of chemical product importers from Saudi Arabia with nearly SAR 1.23 billion, accounting for 19.6% of the total exports of chemical products in June. India and the United States followed with 13.9% and 8.9%, respectively, as shown in the table below:

On the other hand, the Kingdom's imports of chemical and industry-related products amounted to SAR 5.24 billion during the month, down 6% YoY.
Compared to August, imports of chemical and industry-related products in September dipped 14% YoY, or by SAR 881.9 billion.
Imports of chemical and industry-related products during September accounted for 8% of the total imports amounting to SAR 60.09 billion.
