In a remarkable humanitarian achievement, alrajhi bank in collaboration with Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group has successfully completed 54 kidney transplant operations. This significant milestone is part of a broader initiative which aims to complete 91 kidney transplants, at a total cost of 18 million riyals. The initiative, which benefits patients referred from the Shifa platform under the Health Endowment Fund, adheres to the stringent technical standards set by the Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation.

Marking its second year since inception in September 2021, this community-focused initiative demonstrates a strong commitment to continue until the goal of 91 kidney transplants is fulfilled. Embodying the spirit of social responsibility, the initiative seeks to alleviate the hardships faced by kidney failure patients, offering them top-tier medical treatment, improving their quality of life, and fostering a culture of social solidarity.

Mr. Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of alrajhi bank, expressed his pride in the bank's ongoing commitment to the initiative. "Since the program's launch, we have seen a progressive increase in the number of successful operations – three in 2021, 18 in 2022, and 33 so far in 2023, culminating in a total of 54 successful kidney transplants. Alrajhi bank is dedicated to supporting projects and initiatives that make a meaningful impact on our community," he stated.

This initiative not only stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts between alrajhi bank and Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group, but also highlights the pivotal role the private sector can play in social welfare and healthcare advancements.
