Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Services Group Co. completed the assessment of the effects of the fire that broke out in Shamal Al Riyadh (North Riyadh) hospital, a 100% owned subsidiary, according to a statement to Tadawul.

The company stated that it overcame all supply chain challenges, as well as the availability and manufacturing of key materials and devices, and completed the project's implementation.

The project's final works are currently being implemented, with the structure works completed 100%, the external facades completed 98%, and the electrical and mechanical works for operational requirements completed 94%.

In addition, water, electricity, and air conditioning services have also been connected and launched in the project, and they are currently in the initial testing stages, the statement added.

The delivery of the materials for the operational requirements of the project, including medical devices, medical furniture, and non-medical furniture, has been completed, Sulaiman Al Habib said, expecting the testing phases for the initial operational requirements of the air conditioning systems to be completed during Q1 2024, taking into account the size and magnitude of the project.

The healthcare provider also anticipates the project to be delivered and start its operation in Q2 2024, after obtaining the relevant regulatory approvals and licenses.

Sulaiman Al Habib further noted that the delay in project delivery was due to the fire that broke out and associated challenges related to supply chains, availability, and manufacturing of key materials and equipment for some elements of the project.

There are no material costs associated with the event that the group may incur, due to the availability of insurance coverage on the project for such risks, in accordance with its governing terms and conditions, the statement added.

According to data compiled by Argaam, Sulaiman Al Habib said a fire broke out in the under-construction Shamal Al Riyadh Hospital, located on Anas Ibn Malik Road in Al Riyadh city, on Aug. 17 evening.
