Jeddah’s KAIA serves 42.7M passengers in 250,000 flights in 2023

A total of 42.7 million passengers travelled through King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA), implying growth of 36% from 31.4 million a year earlier.

 

The passengers travelled on 250,000 flights last year, compared to 200,000 in 2022, an increase of 25%.

 

The number of new routes rose by 11% to 126 in 2023, from 114 in 2022, KAIA said on X.

KAIA said that the world’s second most sought-after route in the world is Jeddah-Cairo, with over 4.8 million seats. Additionally, it highlighted that the eighth most sought-after domestic route globally is Jeddah-Riyadh, with over 7.8 million seats last year.
