Saudi Arabia receives record number of Umrah performers at 13.6M in 2023

The number of Umrah performers from outside the Kingdom reached a historical level of nearly 13.6 million in 2023, Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfig Al Rabiah told Hajj & Umrah Conference & Exhibition today, Jan. 8.
 

Accordingly, the number of Umrah performers from outside the Kingdom leapt by 58%, or five million, compared with 8.55 million in 2019, which was the biggest ever number in the Kingdom's history, Al Rabiah noted. He added that this was due the facilities provided by the government.
 

More than 35 companies will provide Hajj services this year, compared to 20 a year before, the minister said.
