Mohammed AlSultan, CEO of the Premium Residency Center, said Saudi Arabia may launch new premium visas, or upgrade the current products later, to achieve the goals of priority sectors.
The launch of the new residency visas was due to the growth achieved by the Kingdom, which required reconsidering the types of products provided by the center to support the relevant sectors, AlSultan told Asharq.
He added that committees including government agencies and various sectors are reviewing the criteria for obtaining residency periodically, which will be updated when needed.
This was based on market data, the needs of government agencies, and sectoral strategies to help the sectors achieve their goals, AlSultan said.
The new residency products aim to support the local economy by attracting and retaining minds to transfer knowledge to national cadres, as well as attracting investments and funds to create more jobs.
The center launched on Jan. 10 five new premium residency products to boost the Kingdom's leading position in attracting the best talents and investments, according to data available with Argaam.
