GACA issues December report on performance of local, international airports

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) issued its report about the performance of local and international airports in Saudi Arabia for December 2023.

 

For international airports, where the number of passengers exceeds 15 million annually, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah came in first with a compliance percentage of 91%, followed by King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh (82%). 

 

In the second category of international airports with number of passengers ranging between five to 15 million annually, King Fahd International Airport (KFIA) and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport ranked first with a compliance rate of 91% each.

 

In international airports with two million to five million passengers annually, Abha International Airport took the first place, achieving 100% compliance. King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Airport in Jizan came second with 91%.

 

In the category of international airports with less than two million passengers, Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim achieved a 100% compliance rate, outperforming peers in terms of total average waiting time for departure and arrival flights.

 

For domestic airports, Gurayat Airport topped with a 100% compliance rate, surpassing peers in terms of total average waiting time for departure and arrival flights.
