Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA), the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, carried more than 30 million passengers in 2023, an increase of 21% year-on-year (YoY).
The airline operated over 176,000 flights last year, according to its performance report for 2023.
Moreover, the company saw 36% growth YoY in the number of passengers transported through international flights to over 16.7 million. It operated more than 79,400 international flights, with an increase of 19% YoY.
Meanwhile, the number of passengers who flied through domestic flights rose 7% YoY to over 13.5 million.
During 2023, the airline started to operate flights to its new destination in the Red Sea, in addition to launching a number of international routes to expand across the globe.
SAUDIA expects to add more aircraft to its fleet in the coming years, which will boost its operational rates to record levels.
The airline operates flights to more than 100 destinations on four continents, with a fleet of 144 aircraft of various models.
