The Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) will unveil a new technology shifting military vehicles from traditional to remote-controlled ones at the upcoming World Defense Show. The new technology will be utilized in aircraft, warships, and armored vehicles, CEO Walid Abukhaled said.

SAMI will have the largest pavilion at the Show, focusing on key sectors such as aviation, ground systems, advanced electronics, and defense systems. It will showcase products and highlight the progress achieved since the company's establishment five years ago. The exhibition serves as an opportunity to engage with international companies and share experience, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported.

SAMI intends to secure deals with the Ministry of Defense, Armed Forces, and security forces during the exhibition, Abukhaled added, highlighting the significance of the Saudi market for major global companies in defense systems and military industries.

The World Defense Show is set to kick off tomorrow, Feb. 4, at the headquarters of the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) in Riyadh. The event will run from Feb. 4-8. It will feature the participation of 750 exhibitors from 45 countries, with over 115 military delegations and an expected 100,000 visitors.
