Loans to private, non-financial govt entities rise to SAR 2.66T in 2023

Saudi bank loans granted to non-financial government institutions and the private sector rose 10% to SAR 2.66 trillion in 2023, compared to nearly SAR 2.41 trillion in 2022, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

 

Private sector lending also increased by 10% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 2.52 trillion for the same year. 

 

Meanwhile, loans granted to public non-financial institutions jumped 15% YoY to about SAR 146.7 billion by the end of the year.
