Oil tanks
US crude oil inventories reported a larger-than-expected increase in the week ended Feb. 9, data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed.
Gasoline and distillate stocks declined during the same period.
Crude oil stocks added 12 million barrels by the end of the week, versus expectations of an increase of 3.3 million barrels.
Last week, the US gasoline stocks decreased by 3.7 million barrels, while distillate stocks—includes diesel and heating oil—were down by about 1.9 million barrels.
