The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) announced today, Feb. 15, the working hours for financial institutions during the holy month of Ramadan, in addition to Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha holidays.
Banks will serve the public during business days from 10 am until 4 pm during Ramadan.
Working hours for banks' foreign exchange centers and payment companies will be six flexible hours, starting 9:30 am until 5:30 pm.
Meanwhile, Eid Al-Fitr holiday will start by the end of work on April 4, with financial institutions resuming work on April 14.
Eid Al-Adha holiday will begin by the end of work on June 13, with work recommencing on June 23.
Bank offices and branches, foreign exchange centers and payment companies will remain open in Makkah and Madinah during the Hajj season, including Fridays and Saturdays, to provide services for pilgrims.
Banks, exchange centers, transfer centers and payment companies are required to open several of their branches in populated and densely populated areas, border crossings and airports to operate for certain periods during the holidays. SAMA should be notified of these branches’ names and opening timings.
