US crude inventories up by 3.5M barrels

Crude oil inventories in the US increased, lower than estimates, while gasoline and distillate stocks fell last week.

 

Crude oil inventories in the US grew by 3.5 million barrels in the week ended Feb. 16, less than estimates for 3.9 barrels, data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed.

 

Meanwhile, gasoline and distillate stocks were down by 300,000 barrels and nearly 4 million barrels, respectively.
