Ataa inks MoU with Semanoor to launch first virtual school

Ataa Educational Co. signed on Feb. 22 a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with E-Learning and Training Co. (Semanoor) to launch the first virtual school by 2025, according to a statement to Tadawul.

Under the one-year MoU, both parties will cooperate to launch the first virtual school, which will target students in Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, Asia, Africa, South America, North America, and Europe.

The relevant financial impact will be determined later, and the deal includes no related parties, the statement added.

The MoU aligns with the Saudi Vision 2030 digital transformation program and comes in conjunction with the launch of the standards for evaluating blended learning models in K-12 schools that the Education and Training Evaluation Commission announced.

Any significant developments will be revealed in due course, Ataa added.
