Saudi Cable Co.'s board of directors decided on March 3 to exit of its investments in Turkey, by disposing them through sale or any other way as per the Turkish law, according to a statement to Tadawul.

The decision came within the framework of the company's plans and business strategy. It was taken after discussions and preparation of the necessary studies.

The cable producer indicated that its subsidiaries in Turkey did not achieve the desired returns and continued to incur losses during the past years, despite the solutions and treatments carried out by successive administrations.

The divestiture is also based on the opinion of local and international legal advisors.

The board's decision is conditional on obtaining the necessary approvals.

The company made full provisions against the investments and their related balances in the consolidated financial statements for the period ending on Dec. 31, 2022.

The relevant financial impact will appear after completing the divestiture procedures in the consolidated financials during the coming periods.
