The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) started today, March 25, implementing the second phase of localizing 40% of consultancy professions and businesses.

This decision is part of the ministry’s efforts to provide more stimulating and productive job opportunities for citizens in various regions of the Kingdom.

HRSD Ministry pointed out that it will follow up and implement the decision in its second phase to boost Saudis' participation in the labor market. The move comes in partnership with the Ministry of Finance, the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority, the Expenditure and Project Efficiency Authority, and the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF), which is in line with the requirements of the sector and the labor market.

According to data available on Argaam, HRSD Minister Ahmed Al-Rajhi issued a decision, on Oct. 11, 2022, to start the first phase of localizing 35% of consultancy professions and businesses as of April 6, 2023. The percentage was to be raised in the second phase to 40% as of March 24, 2024.

The decision targets all professions in the sector, mostly financial advisory specialists, business advisers, cybersecurity advisory specialists, project managers and engineers, as well as project management specialists.
