Saudi banks granted SAR 2.73 trillion loans to non-financial government institutions and the private sector, marking a rise of 11% in February 2024, from nearly SAR 2.45 trillion a year earlier, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

Private sector lending also increased by 11% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 2.57 trillion for the same month. 

 

Meanwhile, loans granted to public non-financial institutions jumped 13% YoY to about SAR 156.3 billion by the end of February.
