Saudi Fisheries board terminates CEO, appoints Mahmoud AbuOkeel as Acting CEO

Saudi Fisheries Co.'s board of directors approved on April 14 relieving CEO ‎Awwad Dasouqi from his position, ‎effective from April 15, 2024.

 

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said that the board also approved appointing Mahmoud AbuOkeel to carry out ‎executive management work until a new ‎CEO is appointed‏.‏

 

AbuOkeel has over 17 years of ‎experience in the food and agriculture ‎sectors, reflecting deep knowledge and ‎diverse experience in both fields. He has ‎served as the Chief Financial Officer and ‎Financial Controller at Saudi Fisheries since joining the company in ‎‎2022. AbuOkeel has also held the position of Chief ‎Accountant at both Arabian Agricultural ‎Services Co. (ARASCO) and ‎ Abdul Rahman Saad Al Rashid Co. ‎‎(ARTAR), preceded by his role at Arab Supply Trading Co. (ASTRA), the statement added.
