Rotana Hotels & Resorts announced its ambitious expansion plan in Saudi Arabia to open seven new hotels in strategic locations in the Kingdom over the next five years.
The company stated in a statement during the Future Hospitality Summit (FHS) 2024 that the opening of the Rotana Dar Rayhaan in Al-Khobar marks the beginning of a comprehensive, five-year expansion strategy. This strategy aims to increase the total number of rooms to 4,400 across 16 hotels.
The new hotel enhances the total number of rooms for the Rayhaan brand of hotels and resorts to 2,080 rooms across 6 hotels, representing a significant milestone for the hotel brand.
The company currently manages nine hotels in five Saudi cities, which demonstrates its strong foundation and deep understanding of the local market. This strategic expansion is expected to significantly expand its presence and meet the increasing demand from local and international tourists.
Rotana added that it aims to ambitiously expand its presence in major cities in the Kingdom, expecting this initiative to significantly enhance the hospitality sector in the Kingdom. It noted that this expansion aims not only to double the number of Rotana rooms but also to contribute significantly to the local economies by providing many employment opportunities, aligning with the vision of Saudi Arabia 2030.
