US crude inventories fall 2.5M barrels last week

Crude oil inventories in the US fell lower than analyst estimates last week, as they declined by 2.5 million barrels in the week ended May 10, compared to estimates for 400,000 barrels, data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed.

 

Meanwhile, gasoline stocks were down by 200,000 barrels. Distillate stocks remained unchanged.
