Saudi Arabia’s holdings of US Treasuries reached $135.9 billion in March 2024, up $4.8 billion month-on-month (MoM), new data released by the US Treasury showed.
The Kingdom maintained 17th place among the largest holders of US treasury securities for the month.
Saudi Arabia’s holdings of US Treasuries were distributed among long-term bonds worth $107.3 billion, representing 79% of the total, and short-term bonds worth $28.6 billion, accounting for 21%.

Japan was the top holder of US Treasuries in March, with nearly $1.18 trillion. China came in second with $767.4 billion, as the following table shows:
