Major projects in Saudi Arabia receive strong interest from private-sector operators, financiers, and investors locally, regionally, and globally, Ahmed Al Khateeb, Minister of Tourism, told Al Arabiya TV.

The private sector participation is important to support development in all fields, particularly in the tourism sector. The sector is witnessing substantial growth, especially in major projects such as Al Soudah, Diriyah, Qiddiya, NEOM, among others.

Furthermore, the travel and tourism sector is expected to double over the next decade. It is one of the most attractive sectors for investment, Al Khateeb added, noting that the Middle East region boasts robust infrastructure, attracting significant attention from global investors,

He also referred to the significant enhancements made by the Kingdom in legislations, opening up numerous opportunities for the private sector, and the Tourism Development Fund that was launched to provide substantial financing for the private sector.
