Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing, Majid Al-Hogail inaugurated the Makkah Gate Suburb, the first urban suburb of the National Housing Co.’s (NHC) housing project in the holy city.

 

NHC stated that the suburb spans an area of over five million square meters (sqm) and includes more than 8,300 housing units, varying between villas, townhouses, and apartments.

During the inauguration ceremony, the minister witnessed the signing of five real estate development agreements between NHC and Saudi Real Estate Co., Ajdan Real Estate Development Co., Sumou Real Estate Co., Abdul Rahman Saad Al Rashid and sons Co., and Al Tahaluf Real Estate for the project. Its first phase will provide more than 2,300 housing units, adhering to the highest standards of quality and sustainability.

 

NHC is investing in several projects and suburbs in Makkah. The total number of suburbs and communities under development has reached five, including Al-Jawhara, Sadayem, Khayala, Makkah Gate, and Al-Saddan Community.

 

These developments cover over 17 million sqm, with more than 35,000 housing units of various sizes and designs of international standards, accommodating over 168,000 residents.
