US oil inventories fall 2.4M barrels last week: API

US oil inventories fell by 2.43 million barrels during the week ended June 7, the American Petroleum Institute (API) data showed.

 

Gasoline stocks fell by 2.55 million barrels during the past week, while distillate stocks (including diesel and heating oil) rose by about 972,000 barrels.

 

Brent crude futures for August delivery rose 0.35%, or 29 cents, to close at $81.92 on June 11.

 

WTI crude for July delivery gained 0.2%, or 16 cents, to record $77.90 per barrel.
