US oil inventories down by 2.5M barrels

US crude oil inventories fell by 2.5 million barrels in the week ended June 14, compared to expectations for a 2.8-million-barrel drop, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) data showed.

 

Gasoline stocks also declined by 2.3 million barrels, with distillate stocks, which include diesel and heating oil, also down by 1.7 million barrels.
