The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) invited the public to send their opinions on the draft special integrated logistics zone (SILZ) violations and fines regulations, via the public consultation platform, Istitlaa, until July 7, 2024.

The draft regulations aim to clarify the mechanism for determining the violations and fines as well as the procedures related to imposing fines and other penalties.

They also aim to strengthen GACA's role as a competent authority in exercising the regulatory and supervisory powers in the zone.

In addition, the regulations aim to emphasize its oversight role over SILZ incentives and relevant violations by investors.
