US weekly crude inventories up 3.6M barrels

US crude oil inventories rose in the week ended June 21.

 

Data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) released today, June 26 revealed that oil inventories increased by 3.6 million barrels over the past week, contrary to expectations for a decrease of 2.6 million barrels.

 

Meanwhile, gasoline inventories increased by 2.7 million barrels, and distillate inventories—which include diesel and heating oil—fell by approximately 400,000 barrels.
