ACWA Power receives commercial ops certificate for Egypt project

ACWA Power Co. received a notice, on June 30, from the Kom Ombo photovoltaic (PV) plant project’s company in Egypt, confirming the receipt of the commercial operation certificate for the project.

 

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the 200 megawatts (MW) plant is located in Kom Ombo, Aswan Governorate.

ACWA Power fully owns the project, with a power purchase agreement with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) for 25 years. The total investment cost is SAR 611 million, the statement highlighted.
The company expects the financial impact to be reflected in the third quarter of 2024.
