Oil tanks
US crude oil inventories tumbled by 12.2 million barrels in the week ended June 28, contrary to expectations for a 480,000-barrel decrease, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) data showed.
Gasoline stocks also shed 2.2 million barrels, with distillate stocks, which include diesel and heating oil, also declining by 1.5 million barrels.
