MAWANI extends storage fee exemption to 20 days

King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam

Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) extended the exemption period of container storage charges at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam from 10 to 20 days.

The extension is effective for six months, starting today, July 4, Saudi Press Agency reported.

This marks a new initiative to boost operations in the industry and comes within MAWANI’s commitment to enhance operational efficiency, improve container-handling rates, and upgrade the logistics services provided, the authority said.

Additionally, it aims to enhance import and export operations, support the economic environment and commercial movement in the Kingdom, strengthen partnerships with the private sector, and offer attractive competitive services that contribute to supporting global supply chains.

These efforts further aim at improving port performance, raising quality and productivity levels, aligning with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy to establish the Kingdom as a global logistics hub.
