Arabian Shield gets IA approval for Shariah Committee

Arabian Shield Cooperative Insurance Co. received today, July 15, the Insurance Authority's (IA) no-objection certificate for establishing a Shariah Committee , according to statement on Tadawul.
 

The committee will include Omar Hafiz as Chairman, Yasser Al-Murshidi and Saud Al-Khudhair as members.

Hafiz holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy and a Master's in Economics, with extensive experience in Islamic banking and cooperative insurance.

 

Al-Murshidi holds a Bachelor's in Shariah and a Master's in Shariah Policy. He has extensive experience in Islamic banking and serves as Head of the Shariah segment at Alinma Bank.

 

Al-Khudhair holds Bachelor's degrees in Public Administration and Accounting, a Master's in Islamic Banking, and specialized certificates in governance and Shariah compliance.
