The Public Prosecution, represented by the Financial Fraud Prosecution, initiated investigation procedures against a citizen accused of violating the Anti-Financial Fraud and Breach of Trust Law and the Commercial Securities Law, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The investigation procedures showed that the accused wrote, in bad faith, unpaid checks and in a way that prevented their disbursement, amounting to 22 checks for amounts totaling about SAR 12 million, thus defrauding the victims by misleading them and deceiving them with the existence of fake tenders to invest their money in.

By arresting the accused, referring him to the competent court, and presenting evidence of his accusation, a ruling was issued against him convicting him and punishing him with five years in prison, and a fine of SAR 300,000, and returning those amounts to their owners.
