Saudi Arabia is gearing up to launch Riyadh Metro in 2024, upon completion of on-site works, News24 website reported, citing an official source.

 

According to Argaam’s data, Riyadh Metro extends for 176 kilometers in length and boasts 85 stations.

 

It is complemented by a bus network that operates via 24 routes, stretching for 1,083 kilometers long and featuring 776 stops.

In 2013, Riyadh Metro’s project tenders were awarded to three global consortiums, at a total value of about $22.5 billion (SAR 84.4 billion).
