Oil prices fall, set for second straight weekly loss

Oil prices declined on Friday, heading for the second straight weekly losses amid weak investor sentiment on recent US dollar strength and mixed economic indicators.

 

Brent crude futures dropped 0.55% to $84.64 a barrel, at 8:16 am Makkah time, with a weekly loss of 0.3% so far this week.

 

Similarly, futures prices for US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude lost 0.65% to $82.28 per barrel, heading for a weekly decline of 0.2% this week.
