The Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) confirmed that its technical and government systems used to serve citizens and residents in Saudi Arabia were not affected by the global IT glitch that hit several organizations around the world today.

Majid AlShehry, spokesperson for SDAIA, said since the first moment of the glitch, the authority has been monitoring its internal systems and the hosted government systems through national technical teams. Thus, the systems have not experienced any disruptions, as they were developed by qualified national personnel, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

He added that SDAIA's technical teams, composed of qualified national personnel, work around the clock with relevant authorities to ensure the security and uninterrupted operation of digital government services.

Some technical malfunctions related to Microsoft’s Windows operating system affected today several airlines, telcos, airports, banks, and governments in various countries around the world, according to available data on Argaam.
