Natural gas storage in the US rose by 22 billion cubic feet during the week ended July 19, exceeding expectations for an increase of 13 billion cubic feet.
Data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) released today, July 25, showed that total natural gas inventories reached 3.231 trillion cubic feet, an increase of 8.4% or about 249 billion cubic feet compared to the same period last year.
The storage is also 16.4% or about 456 billion cubic feet above the five-year average (2019-2023), which stands at 2.77 trillion cubic feet.
