Registration begins for 113,500 real estate plots in Riyadh: RER

The Real Estate Registry (RER) started today, July 28, receiving registration applications for 113,500 real estate plots in 12 neighborhoods in Riyadh, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The land plots are distributed across Tuwaiq neighborhood in Al Aridh District; King Abdulaziz neighborhood; Sulaymaniyah neighborhood; Al-Wizarat neighborhood; Al-Fakhriyyah neighborhood; Ulaishah neighborhood; Al-Sina’iyah neighborhood; Al-Khalidiyyah neighborhood; Al Dar Al Baida neighborhood; Al- Difaa neighborhood; and part of Dahiat Namar District.

Property owners within the benefited areas must register their properties by Oct. 31, 2024, to avoid penalties and fines specified by the Real Estate Registration Law.

RER is working to confirm the registration of real estate properties in the benefited areas to boost the sector’s reliability and transparency by building a comprehensive real estate registry of local properties.

It will issue a “Property Number” and an ownership deed for each registered unit, comprising its precise geographic location and owner data, besides property description, condition, rights, obligations, and all transactions. This will document ownership and property rights, enhancing the real estate sector’s sustainability.
